Travel Blog: Vietnam

Vietnam is a country with very colourful culture. The ambiance at Ho Chi Minh City seems at first very chaotic, yet it somehow works.
It is home to around 9.8 Million people, with 8 Million of them using a scooter as their main mode of transport. They zoom around like little bugs and there is no item that won’t fit on one (doors, ladders, trees, etc. – you name it). They don’t even see a problem in fitting 4-5 people on a single two-wheeler. They also sell seafood everywhere, in any condition.

Local diners even offer crocodile and snake meat. The food there is mostly various forms of rice and seafood (fish, octopus, shrimp, squid, lobster, etc.).

As to graphic design, it is an interesting sight to see, but doesn’t offer any serious inspiration… The fonts and compositions are random, and style has not kept up with the times. A curious sight to see.

The hotels, cafés and Spas run by Europeans differ greatly from the masses, especially considering their design.
